Dovetail to Present Webinar on Forests of the U.S.

(Mpls, MN) - Steve Bratkovich, Dovetail Partners' Project Manager for Recycling & Reuse, will be presenting a webinar on U.S. Forests. The webinar, titled Forests of the U.S. - Is the Glass Half-full or Half-empty?, will present current data and trends about our country's forests. By many measures U.S. forests are growing, expanding and in great shape. Yet increased mortality and wildfire risks present reasons for concern. Mr. Bratkovich will discuss these topics and explain what the data tells us about our forests - past, present and future. The information presented can be of use to a wide range of natural resource professionals. The webinar is hosted by the Sustainable Forests Education Cooperative.

Steve has 38 years of forestry and forest products experience. His areas of expertise include urban wood utilization; business, marketing and strategic planning; primary and secondary wood processing; and sustainable forest management. Steve has authored over 175 forestry-related publications, articles and reports, and is a frequent contributor to forestry and industry trade journals. He is a self-employed forestry consultant and frequently speaks across the country on urban wood use topics.

"Current U.S. forest trends and data may be perceived as conflicting when it comes to forest health," says Bratkovich "It is important to understand these trends and data in the context of forest management history and current practices."

The webinar will take place on Tuesday September 17th from 9:00am - 10:00am (CST). To register for the event, please visit:
