(Minneapolis, MN) - Forestinfo.org, an environmental education website geared towards teachers, students, forestry professionals, and those with a general interest in protecting, managing, and enhancing the natural environment, is pleased to announce the release of three new Urban Forest Fast Breaks. Forest Fast Breaks are concise, engaging animated shorts that simplify complex forestry topics using sound effects and narration suitable for third grade through adult learners. All Forest Fast Breaks have been produced by the Oregon Forest Resources Institute. The three new Urban Forest Fast Breaks were produced in partnership between Forestinfo and the North Carolina Forest Service with funding support provided by the North Carolina Urban and Community Forestry Grant Program.

"The new Urban Forest Fast Breaks are a great visual learning tool for engaging students and for teaching about urban forests, the benefits they provide and ways urban wood can be beneficially utilized" says Kathryn Fernholz, Executive Director of Dovetail Partners, the non-profit organization that hosts Forestinfo.org. "The Forest Fast Break videos are wonderful resources for stimulating young minds and can support exciting learning opportunities in and outside of the classroom."
