Join Dovetail at the 2015 Northeast Wood Solutions Fair

Session to address forests and forest products

(Danvers, MA) - Join Dovetail Partners, a Minneapolis-based environmental think-tank, on September 16th at the 2015 Northeast Wood Solutions Fair.  Dovetail staff will be presenting on forests and forest products. Wood Solutions Fairs are hosted by WoodWorks across various regions of the U.S. to provide information and insights on the use of wood in non-residential and multi-family buildings. There is no registration fee for the one-day event, walk-ins are welcome, and continuing education credits are available.

Kathryn Fernholz, Dovetail's Executive Director, will present a seminar titled "Forests and Forest Products". This presentation will answer many questions about forests and forest products, such as: 'Where do our trees and forests grow?', 'How have forests changed over time?', 'What is the relationship between people and forests - now and in the past?', 'How are forests managed - and are they being managed responsibly?', 'Are our forests and forest products sustainable?' and 'Why is wood an environmental-friendly choice?'.

Each seminar will be presented twice, during morning and afternoon sessions. The Fair is free to attend and geared towards architects, engineers, developers, code officials and anyone with an interest in design possibilities for wood in the built environment.

Attendees can earn up to 6 AIA/CES LUs (HSW) or PDH credits (one per attended seminar). AIA/CES forms and professional development certificates will be available on site.

The Northeast Wood Solutions Fair will take place at the Doubletree Boston North Shore, Danvers, MA on September 16th, 2015 from 8:00am - 5:00pm. For registration and agenda, visit: www.woodworks.org/education-event/2015-northeast-wood-solutions-fair-2/
