(Minneapolis, MN) – Dovetail Partners encourages you to take this extra stay-at-home time to do work around your property to be more resilient to wildfire. There are many things you can do right now that will mitigate future risk of damaging wildfires in the future. Learn from the experts on our webinar: Tips for Backyard Wildfire Resiliency on Wednesday, May 20th from 6:30 – 8:00 pm CST. Invited speakers will present on fire behavior, how to create “defensible space” around your structures, fire resilient building materials, and native plantings that are less flammable.  The interactive webinar content will include video footage of our presenters showing how you can do this work on your own property. Our speakers include Jeffery Jackson, MN DNR Regional Firewise Specialist; Ryan Miller, Vermilion Community College Natural Resource instructor; Todd Armbruster Lake/Cook County Firewise Coordinator; and Gloria Erickson, St. Louis County Firewise Coordinator and Dovetail Partners team member.  To register for this FREE webinar, check out the event site: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/104351768950.
