The Denali Borough contracted Dovetail Partners during the final stages of crafting its Community & Outdoor Recreation Plan. Dovetail’s technical assistance focused on draft plan development, public engagement processes, and data aggregation. Dovetail’s Project Director, Teresa Floberg, previously served as the Denali Borough's Community Development Director and worked with the Community & Outdoor Recreation Committee from its inception.
The Denali Borough’s comprehensive recreation planning process was steeped in community identity, historic uses, and local priorities. Dovetail was thrilled to support this collaborative effort and assist in integrating public feedback into the final plan.
The National Park Service (NPS) – Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program was an integral partner in this two-year initiative. The attached NPS article outlines how the Denali Borough’s Community and Outdoor Recreation Plan is designed to transform how residents connect with their spectacular surroundings.
