Dovetail Partners Awarded Grant to Support Wildfire Community Preparedness Day Efforts

Dovetail Partners is proud to announce it has been selected as one of nineteen community-based organizations nationwide to receive a $10,000 grant in support of Wildfire Community Preparedness Day. This annual campaign, sponsored by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and State Farm, encourages people living in wildfire-prone areas to take action to reduce their home and community risk.
Grant recipients were officially announced at the IAFC Wildland Urban Interface Conference in Reno, Nevada. NFPA received more than 100 applications, with selected organizations chosen for their innovative, community-driven projects aimed at improving wildfire resilience.
Dovetail Partners will use the awarded funding to implement local Preparedness Day initiatives designed to help homeowners take practical, science-based steps to reduce wildfire risk. Activities may include clearing combustible debris, improving defensible space, and promoting awareness of simple, low-cost actions that can make a significant difference in protecting homes and neighborhoods.
Preparedness Day emphasizes actionable steps individuals and communities can take, such as maintaining roofs and gutters free of debris, trimming vegetation, and removing flammable materials from around the home.
Wildfire Community Preparedness Day continues to provide valuable tools, resources, and inspiration for communities across the country to come together and reduce wildfire risk.
